Inspired by Studio McGee, these clients loved the idea of mixing the old with the new. Being a brand new build in Park Orchards, they were aiming for a completely passive house with sustainability incorporated into the design. Built by Grant Homes and architecturally designed by Grun Eco, my job was to design the appropriate spaces to help make this home sing. A tree that was felled on their property also became a feature in a few spots in the home as well as some good old fashioned farmhouse design elements like timber corbels, turned legs on the island bench, glass display cabinets in the kitchen with feature latches and much more!
